Ingredients:
1 cup of Idli Rava (soak the white rice for 15 mins; grind it coarsely)
1/2 cup of grated coconut
1 1/2 cup of water
2 tsp of coconut oil
1 tsp of mustard seeds
10 curry leaves
2 tsp of bengal gram
1/4 tsp of fenugreek seeds
1 tsp of black lentil (urad dal)
1/2 tsp of salt
2 tsp of sugar
1 green chilly
Goda Ravo:
4 of jaggery powder
1 tbsp of water
1/4 tsp of cardamom powder
Method:
Undi Recipe:
In a bowl soak the idli rava in warm water for 15 mins.
1. Heat a nonstick pan. Add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped green chilly, bengal gram, black lentil and fenugreek seeds for tempering.
2. Now add soaked idli rava, salt, grated coconut and sugar. Mix well.
4. Pour water. Cook till water dries off. Continuously stir. It may take 15 to 20 mins.
5. Let this mixture cool down. Make medium sized balls with small depression at the top.
6. Steam for 15 mins.
Heat a sauce pan. Add water and jaggery powder. Bring to boil. As mixture thickens add cardamom powder. Mix well.
