Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 25 mins
Ingredients:
1 cup of roasted vermicelli
2/3 cups of sugar
1/2 tsp of cardamom powder
1 tbsp of pieces of cashew nuts
10 raisins
6 saffron strands
3 cup of milk
1 cup of water
2 tbsp of clarified butter (ghee)
Method:
1. Warm 1/4 cup of milk and soak saffron strands in it for 10 mins.
3. Now add roasted vermicelli and fry for 3 mins.
4. At the same time heat remaining milk and 1 cup of water in a sauce pan for 10 mins.
5. Now pour the hot milk & water mixture into vermicelli cooking nonstick pan.
6. Allow to cook the vermicelli. It takes about 7 mins for cooking.
7. Add sugar, milk + soaked saffron and cardamom powder. Mix well. Cook for another 5 mins.
