Preparation Time: 15 mins Cooking Time: 25 mins
Ingredients:
1 cup of basmati rice (soaked basmati rice in warm water for 15 mins)
1 tsp of salt
1 bunch of mint leaves
2 cups of water
1 tomato
1 tsp of grated ginger
1 green chilly
1/2 cup of peas
2 tsp of clarified butter (ghee)
2 tsp of cumin seeds
1/2 bunch of chopped coriander leaves
Method:
1. Grind 1 tsp of cumin seeds, ginger, chopped tomato, and green chilly.
2. Heat a cooker pan. Add 2 tsp of clarified ghee and 1 tsp of cumin seeds. Fry for 1 min.
3. Pour ground masala. Fry for 5 mins.
4. Add peas, chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves. Cook for 2 mins.
5. Now add soaked basmati rice, salt and 2 cups of water. Cook for 20 mins or if you use a pressure cooker, it might take 3 cooker whistles.
