Thavsali or rawa dosa ( Cucumber pan cake)


Recipe Type: Indian                                          Yield: 8 nos.
Preparation Time: 15 mins                               Cooking Time: 5 mins each

Ingredients:
1cup of grated cucumber
1 tsp of grated ginger
1 cup of semolina (rawa)
3 tsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt
2 tsp of clarified butter (ghee)
1 grated green chilly 
1 tbsp rice flour or wheat flour
1 and half cups of water 
2 tsp of curd (optional)

Method: 
1. In a bowl add grated ginger, grated cucumber and grated green chilly. Now add salt, curd (optional), sugar, semolina and water. Mix well. Keep aside for 7 mins.


2. Heat a nonstick pan or tawa. Pour one ladle of batter. Spread it. Put 2 drops of ghee on it.


3. Cover pan with a lid. Cook dosa on both sides for 2 to 3 mins.
4. Serve with chutney or butter.
