Preparation Time : 5 mins Cooking Time : 4 mins for each
Ingredients :
4 chapati/roti
1 tbsp chopped onion
1/4 tsp salt
1 chopped green chilies
3 tbsp chickpeas flour or gram flour (besan)
1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp water (as required)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tbsp chopped tomatoes (optional)
3 tsp oil
Method:
1. In a bowl add chopped onion, salt, chilly powder, chopped tomatoes (optional), cumin seeds, chopped, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, garam masala, water and chickpeas flour or besan. Mix well. Prepare thick batter/paste.
2. Now apply this batter/paste on chapati (apply only on one side of the chapati/roti).
3. Heat a griddle. Apply little oil and first cook the side with the paste on. Cook for 3 to 4 mins.
4. Cook the other side next.
5. Serve hot with chutney, pickle or tomato sauce.
