Chitrana


Recipe Type : Indian                                                             Yield : 4
Preparation Time : 15 mins                                                  Cooking Time : 20 mins + 12 mins

Ingredients:
2 onions
2 tomatoes
2 green chilies
4 garlic cloves
1/2 inch of ginger
3 tsp oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
5 curry leaves
1/2 tbsp grated coconut
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup of white rice uncooked (cook rice and keep aside.)
1/2 cup of chopped coriander leaves

Method:
1. Heat a pan. Add oil. Put mustard seeds and curry leaves for tempering.
2. Add chopped ginger, chopped garlic, green chilies, and onions. Fry till onions are transparent.
3. Put chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and salt. Fry for 2 mins.
4. Now add cooked rice and grated coconut. Mix well. Cook for 5 mins.
5. Garnish with coriander leaves.
