Ingredients:
2 cups of beaten rice (flattened rice)
1 green chilly
2 tsp of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 cup of coriander leaves
1 tomato
3 cups of water
2 tsp of oil
1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
1 tsp of cumin seeds
5 curry leaves
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
Method:
Soak beaten rice for 2 to 3 mins in a bowl containing 3 cups of water. Sieve out the water.
1. Heat a nonstick pan. Add oil. Put mustard seeds, curry leaves, slit opened green chilly and cumin seeds for tempering.
2. Now put chopped tomato. Cook for 5 mins.
3. Add coriander leaves, salt, sugar and turmeric powder. Cook for 2 more mins.
4. Now add beaten rice and mix well. Cook for another 5 mins.
