Ingredients:
15 ash gourd/ winter melon pieces
5 green chilies
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tbsp white rice
1tsp mustard seeds
1/4 cup grated coconut
1/4 tamarind paste
1 tbsp coconut oil
6 curry leaves
1 and half cup of water
Method:
1. Heat a sauce pan. Add 1 tsp oil, chopped green chilies, fenugreek seeds, white rice and 1/2 tsp mustard seeds. Fry for 2 mins. Allow to cool.
2. In a blender add grated coconut, fried all ingredients, tamarind paste and 2 tbsp water. Make a fine paste.
3. Heat a sauce pan. Pour oil. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves for tempering.
4. Now add ash gourd pieces, pour water and add salt. Cook for 15 mins.
5. Finally add ground masala. Cook for 8 mins.
