Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 25 mins
Ingredients:
4 cups of outer skin peeled and chopped ridge gourd
1 tsp of cumin seeds
2 Byadagi chillies
1 tsp of mustard seeds
2 tsp of oil
5 curry leaves
3/4 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of grated coconut
3/4 cup of water
1/2 tsp of jaggery powder
Method:
1. Heat a sauce pan. Add oil, mustard seeds, byadagi chilies, cumin seeds and curry leaves for tempering.
2. Now put chopped ridge gourd pieces, salt and water. Cover the lid and cook for 20 mins.
3. Finally add grated coconut and jaggery. Mix well. Cook for 3 more mins.
